Totally agree! There is a whole other side to Court of Protection which I would categorise as falling under ‘Health and Welfare’. The aim of this article is to cover the role of a financial Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection only.

To be fair she does state her experience is in financial COP so that is probably why she has focussed on that.

This includes, for example, determining mental capacity disputes, determining the lawfulness of the deprivation of a person’s liberty and other restrictions on their rights and freedoms, and Serious Medical Treatment applications / disputes such as the withdrawal of life sustaining treatment.
